Turkiye has closed its airspace for Armenian flights heading to a third destination
Speaking at the National TV, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said the step is in response to the recent unveiling of a controversial monument in Yerevan.
He warned that Turkiye would take further steps if the monument is not removed.
The monument depicts alleged mass murder of ethnic Armenians by Ottoman army during World War One. Ankara denies the charge.
