A westerly wave with isolated rainfall is likely to enter upper and central parts of the country on Tuesday which will subside the severe heatwave conditions.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, this weather system is likely to persist till Friday.

Under the influence of this system, heavy rainfall may trigger landslides, mudslides or falling boulders potentially disrupting roads during this period in different parts of the country.

Besides, heavy rainfall may generate flash flooding in local nullahs, streams and river tributaries.

Windstorms and hailstorms may damage crops and loose structures.

General public is advised to be aware of loose structures like billboards, electrical poles, solar panels, hoardings, and under-construction buildings.

Hill torrents are expected to rise in Sulaiman and the Kirthar Range as well as in Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur.

Tourists are advised to remain cautious during the spell and check weather updates before traveling.
