
Pakistan Embassy in China hosted an impressive mango festival in Beijing as part of celebrations marking 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
Themed as "Pakistan-China Silk Road Mango Festival 2026,” the event was organized at Pakistan House and co-hosted with Asia-Africa Trade Promotion Office.
The festival brought together over four hundred guests from all walks of life including officials, diplomatic envoys, business leaders, media representatives, artists and representatives of cultural and trade organizations. The event showcased Pakistan’s world-famous mangoes and a curated range of mango-based products, highlighting the country’s fertile agricultural landscape and its long-standing reputation for premium fruit exports.
In his remarks, Ambassador of Pakistan to China Khalil Hashmi described mangoes as the “King of Fruits” and a symbol of Pakistan’s cultural heritage. He highlighted the unique characteristics of Pakistani mangoes such as distinct aroma, sweetness and taste, adding that these mangoes were an emblem of Pakistani hospitality, warmth and friendship.
Two Memoranda of Understanding were signed between China Ole High End Super Market and Tianjin Midtrans Int Co. as well as Hainan Jiao Long Technology Co. and RIC Nexus on mango trade and logistics.
