
Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said the situation arising from floods in Gilgit-Baltistan requires continued attention and coordinated efforts and stressed providing maximum relief to the affected people.
He expressed these views while talking to Deputy Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Malik Kifayatur Rehman, who called on him in Islamabad today.
Matters relating to the overall political situation in Gilgit-Baltistan also came under discussion.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers, led by Chairman Usman Aslam Malik, also met Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and briefed him on matters related to the automobile industry in the country.
Similarly, Resident Editor, Khabrain Multan, Syed Sajjad Bukhari also called on the Acting President.
Matters relating to Multan and South Punjab came under discussion.
They said that the people of South Punjab are grateful to Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani for taking a personal interest in the development and uplift of the area.
