Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to present details of Daanish University's project including a construction timeline within the next two weeks.

He was chairing a review meeting regarding Daanish University in Islamabad today.

He directed that the university’s system should be designed differently from those of conventional universities, with a strong focus on excellence.

The Prime Minister said that Daanish University would provide international-standard education to talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

He further directed that the university’s outreach programme should give key importance to ensuring awareness and access among children from economically disadvantaged and middle-income families.

It was informed that the university would engage globally renowned faculty members who have graduated from leading international universities.

The meeting was further informed that the university would be constructed in accordance with a state-of-the-art campus design based on internationally recognized standards. The bidding process for the construction is expected to commence soon.
