Morocco tragedy: Mortal remains of four Pakistani nationals arrive in Islamabad tomorrow

In a significant move to support the families of deceased Pakistanis who lost their lives in recent boat accident in Morocco, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the repatriation of the mortal remains of 13 Pakistani nationals from Morocco  this week.

According to Foreign Office, the mortal remains of four deceased Pakistanis are scheduled to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow (Wednesday), aboard flight SV726 at 2350 hours (PST).

They include Hamid Shabbir from Mandi Bahauddin, Muhammad Arslan Khan from Shaikhupura, Qaiser Iqbal from Gujrat and Sajjad Ali from Mandi Bahauddin.

In line with the repatriation process, the government has coordinated a series of arrangements to ensure the smooth arrival and transport of the mortal remains.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has deputed the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain to personally receive the mortal remains of the deceased at Islamabad International Airport.

A facilitation desk has been set up at the airport to assist the families of the deceased, while ambulances will be made available to transfer the bodies to their final destinations. A medical team will be on standby to provide any necessary support, and a mortuary will be arranged for the temporary storage of the remains.
