Second meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Essential and Cash Crops was held in Islamabad today with Deputy Prime Ishaq Dar in the chair.

The meeting reviewed short-term and long-term wheat production strategies.

It also discussed synchronized federal-provincial efforts to bolster food security while safeguarding interests of farmers, producers, and consumers.
