Govt endeavouring to promote trade with Central Asian states

The government is taking measures to promote trade relations with Central Asian countries with the support of Special Investment Facilitation Council.

In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's important visits to Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan represent significant progress for the stability of the national economy and promotion of investment.

Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) have been signed between Pakistan and Uzbekistan to further strengthen trade relations.

Joint projects between Pakistan and Uzbekistan are expected to foster growth in the textile, agriculture, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway project is a key milestone for regional trade, with a strong commitment to its swift completion.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to increase cooperation in the energy, infrastructure, and investment sectors.
