Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the rights of minorities.

He made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the Christian community, in which Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar was also present.

He said consultation with representatives of minorities and other communities helps ensure that the views and needs of all citizens are effectively reflected in legislation and public policy.

The Information Minister said the government is determined to promote interfaith harmony, equal citizenship, and an inclusive society in which every Pakistani, without discrimination, can play a role in national development.

The delegation appreciated the government’s continued commitment to protecting the rights of minority communities.

The meeting included detailed discussions on resolving issues faced by minority communities and effectively addressing the needs of the Christian community through relevant laws and policies.
