Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has congratulated Khawaja Naseer on being elected unopposed as the president and Adnan Sheikh as the secretary of the Punjab Assembly Press Committee.

In a statement, he said the government fully believes in freedom of expression.

Attaullah Tarar said Punjab Assembly's Press Gallery Committee has a strong relationship with journalists. He said the doors of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting are always open to journalists.

The Minister said unbiased journalism can steer the society in the right direction.

Attaullah Tarar expressed hope that the newly-elected officials will meet the expectations of their fellow reporters.
