The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan says the government is taking steps to provide basic facilities to the people of tribal districts at their doorstep.

Talking to a delegation of tribal elders from South Waziristan in Peshawar, he said the government is committed to remove the deprivations of tribal people at earliest.

Mahmood Khan said bringing these backward areas at par with the developed areas of the country is the need of the hour.

He said developmental projects are being finalized in consultation with the local people.
