Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and University of Baltistan, Skardu (UOBS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of bilateral cooperation to promote learning practices, by sharing each other experience and expertise.

The MoU was signed during the visit of students and Faculty delegation led by Vice Chancellor of the Baltistan University Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan to the main campus of the AIOU Islamabad.

The Vice Chancellor AIOU professor Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum while welcoming the delegation said the students from the Northern region could benefit from the AIOU's huge academic and infrastructure network in their educational pursuit.

The MoU is aimed at promoting cultural exchanges and strengthening social interaction among the students of various regions.

Under the agreement, the AIOU will be prepared to share labs and computer-based resources with the University of Baltistan for the benefit of its students.

Both the Universities will regularly coordinate with each other to further promote their teaching and learning practices under the MoU.
