In the United States, stock markets have ended their worst week after President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs came into effect. 

All three main indexes on Wall Street dropped by more than five percent by the time the New York Stock Exchange closed on Friday.

Meanwhile, some twelve hundred demonstrations are planned across the United States today to express displeasure against the newly imposed tariffs by President Donald Trump.
