Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has telephoned Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and discussed ways and means to improve bilateral ties between the two countries.

During a telephonic conversation, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also congratulated Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz on upcoming Eidul Fitr.

The conversation came a day ahead of a meeting between Turkish and Egyptian officials in Cairo the latest step in Turkey's push to mend relations with another US-allied Arab power.
