Saudi Arabian authorities have shifted flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to Hajj terminal from the North terminal at Jeddah airport, where a massive rush of air travellers is causing delays in boarding of passengers for the last couple of days.
In a press release, PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez Khan said this facility to the national flag carrier’s flights has been extended after Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique made tireless efforts to facilitate Pakistani passengers.
He said the Hajj terminal has the capacity to handle such an unusual rush.
The spokesman said the PIA CEO is himself supervising the flights’ operation under the directions of Aviation Minister.
He said the PIA management has started informing the passengers about shifting of flights to the Hajj terminal through agents and its Call Center so that they can timely reach there for taking their flights.
