Zartaj Gul (Minister of State for Climate Change): Today is the historical day not only for the Gwadar, Balochistan but for the entire country. The present government is making all out efforts to eliminate the sense of deprivation of the people of Balochistan province. For the first time, the PTI government has allocated over 630 billion rupees for the development projects in Balochistan. Gwadar port is the future of Pakistan and will be the hub of regional and international trade. The first phase of CPEC has been completed and today Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated 2200 acres free zones of the second phase. There is dire need to attract the foreign investors in invest in development projects in Pakistan. The government is also keen to provide clean drinking water and uninterruptable electricity to the province of Balochistan. Chinese authorities have expressed satisfaction on so far progress of the government on development projects under CPEC. Prime Minister is taking personal interest to motivate the foreign and local investors to invest in developmental projects. The local investors should also come forward to play their role in economic development of the country. The world has appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan which is beyond the personal benefits.
Dr. Shahid Hassan Siddiqui (Economist):Today was an important day as CPEC is entering in a new phase and new economic zones in this phase will be established in previously ignored province of Balochistan. The people of the Balochistan must be given confidence that locals of the province will be more benefitted through development projects under CPEC in the province. Moreover, Gwadar is undoubtedly going to be a trade hub and will be a game changer for the economic development of the country. The prime focus of the government is to increase exports and decrease imports. We must have to get rid of IMF bailout packages and for this purpose the exports must be increased at all costs. If Pakistan wants to economically develop at a fast speed then there must be political stability in the country. The opposition parties and the government must be united for the sake of economic and national interests of the country. The foreign investor is always hesitant to invest in a country where there is instability. They must be given confidence that their investments in development projects in Pakistan will be safe and secure. We are in need of pro-active economic policies to include the the country in list of developed countries.
Maj Gen (Retd) Ejaz Awan (Defense Analyst): It is diplomatic way of putting the issues on the table and Pakistan is continuously doing the same. On the other hand, India is involved in propagandas against Pakistan since its independence. The world is well aware of the fact that India is involved in internal affairs of Pakistan and promoting terrorism in our country. Pakistan has strong evidences of Indian hands in Chinese consulate in Karachi, APS, Peshawar incident, Karachi Stock Exchange attack and terrorism in Balochistan. Indian spy agent Kulbhushan Yadav apprehended by our forces, has confessed Indian involvement in efforts to destabilize Pakistan. Pakistan has presented the dossiers along with the evidences at the United Nations forum. But the morality of international community is that no pressure is mounted on India to stop its aggressive policies and intentions of promoting terrorism in other countries.
Dr. Abdul Wajid Khan (IR Expert):Pakistan is continuously highlighting Indian state terrorism in Pakistan at international forums. The recent terror act in Lahore has been probed by our security and intelligence forces and it is clear that India and its spy agency RAW has involvement in the incident. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi rightly stated that all the evidences against India must be presented at FATF forum in order to blacklist India from the FATF list. The Indian efforts to defame Pakistan must be countered and its cruel face must be exposed in front of the world. There is need of strong response from our side using diplomatic channels and active foreign policy.
