In Burkina Faso, at least 22 civilians were killed in an attack by gunmen in the North West region of the country.

The attackers raided a village in the province of Kossi near border with Mali.

In a statement, Governor of Boucle du Mouhoun region, defence and security forces have been deployed in the area to carry out sweeping and security operations.
