CAA gives permission to Shaheen Air to bring back Pakistanis stranded in China
August 04, 2018

Civil Aviation Authority has given permission to Shaheen Air for required flights to bring back Pakistanis stranded in Chinese city of Guangzhou.

About three hundred Pakistanis were left stranded in the Chinese port city after their Shaheen Air flight was abruptly cancelled on 29th of last month, following a dispute over payment of arrears between the airline and Civil Aviation Authority.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, heard the case at Lahore Registry yesterday and ordered to ensure all stranded passengers are brought back to Pakistan before Monday.

The apex court has also ordered owner of Shaheen Air to appear before it on Tuesday next.
