Gilgit Baltistan Government, in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan's vision, has decided to launch a low-cost housing project.
To this effect, a framework agreement was signed between the GB Government and Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
As per the initial feasibility, about 1200 apartments will be constructed. Separate quota for the employees of the GB and the federal government as well as general public of Gilgit-Baltistan has been reserved in these apartments.
It is pertinent to mention that the PHA has also extended its membership drive till 3rd of the next month.
GB Finance Minister Javed Hussain Manwa, Law Minister Suhail Abbas, Food Minister Shams Lon and Media Coordinator Ghulam Nabi were also present at the signing ceremony.
