Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed has stressed the need for promoting unity to foil the sordid designs of enemies.
Addressing the interfaith harmony symposium in Rawalpindi on Thursday, he said the elements inimical to peace will never be allowed to succeed in their nefarious ambitions.
Aneeq Ahmed said the government is committed to promote interfaith harmony and protect rights of minorities in the country.
He said Islam is the religion of peace and love, which lays emphasis on serving the humanity as well.
Aneeq Ahmed said strengthening economy and eliminating poverty are amongst our top priorities and we are fully committed to this end.
He said it is our responsibility to put our sincere efforts with an aim to achieve country's progress and prosperity.
