Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has urged young people to stay away from fake news, hate speech and political polarization on social media.

Addressing a ceremony in Narowal today, he said social media was increasingly being used to spread misinformation and manipulate people’s minds.

Ahsan Iqbal said fake news and polarization were among the major challenges facing societies today.

He urged the youth to verify information before sharing it and avoid spreading hatred and using abusive language online.
