A representative organization of Sikh community in the United States, "Sikhs of America," have hailed Pakistan government and Prime Minster Imran Khan for opening Kartarpur corridor.

A delegation of the organization expressed gratitude for Kartarpur initiative at a meeting with Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain in Islamabad on Tuesday.

They termed access to Darbar Sahib of Baba Guru Nanak a big gift to the Sikh community and hoped that this corridor will prove to be the corridor of love and peace.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister for Information said respect to other religions is a pledge made in Pakistan's constitution. 

He said opening of Kartarpur corridor is a message of peace and it can help both the countries alleviate poverty.
