Uzbekistan has announced to launch direct flights to Karachi this year to strengthen bilateral ties with Pakistan.

This was announced by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev during his visit to Karachi.

The Ambassador said Uzbekistan had implemented a soft visa regime for Pakistani citizens in September 2023, facilitating business and tourist travel.

Highlighting the trade potential, the Ambassador said that mutual trade volume between Uzbekistan and Pakistan reached to 387 million dollars last year.

He also commended the success of the “Made in Pakistan” single-country exhibition held in Tashkent last June.
