Minister of State for Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani has said the reduction in electricity prices reflects the government's commitment to provide relief to the public.

Addressing a public gathering in Dina, he said further cuts in electricity prices are expected in the coming months.

Bilal Azhar Kayani said that power plants that were not generating electricity have been shut down to save public funds.

He said the government is planning more reforms, including the establishment of an open electricity market and a crackdown on power theft.
