A Russian plane carrying 22 passengers and six crew crashed in country's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula today (Tuesday).

The Emergencies Ministry said the plane was en route from the regional capital Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Palana, when it lost contact with air traffic control.
