Director General, Radio Pakistan, Saeed Ahmed Shaikh visited Broadcasting House, Multan today.
During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the under-construction auditorium and directed that the remaining work be completed within one month, keeping in view the importance of the project.
The Director General also visited the studio block and reviewed the transmission facilities.
Addressing the staff, Saeed Ahmed Shaikh said that the management of Radio Pakistan is making concerted efforts to transform the organization into a financially self-sustaining institution.
He said that the organization is now generating Rs. 1 billion annually through the effective utilization of its available resources.
He said that efforts are underway to optimize the remaining assets and resources of the organization to further strengthen its financial position and meet operational expenditures.
The Director General urged the staff to play an active role in identifying and developing new revenue streams so that Radio Pakistan can further enhance its financial sustainability.
He further said that an effective and transparent mechanism has been introduced for pension payments, ensuring greater transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the system.
