Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that friendship with China is a corner-stone of Pakistan's foreign policy based on convergence of views on regional and global issues.

He was talking to a Chinese delegation in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Minister said the strategic relations between the two neighbouring nations are based on mutual trust.

He said Pak-China cooperation in the defence sector is vital for maintaining peace and stability in South Asia.
