All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir has paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of September 1965, describing Pakistan Defence Day as a glorious chapter in the nation's history reflecting its resolve, unity, courage and bravery.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK Chapter organized a seminar in Islamabad in connection with Defence and Martyrs Day.

Addressing the seminar, Hurriyat leaders said September 6 was a memorable day in Pakistan's history, when the nation demonstrated exemplary courage and unity to thwart the enemy's sudden attack and nefarious designs.

They said the Pakistani nation and armed forces stood like an iron wall in defence of the country, while those who laid down their lives set a great example of sacrifice for the defence of the motherland.

The speakers strongly condemned gross human rights violations, killings of innocent Kashmiris, arrests and other forms of repression by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

They urged the international community to exert pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
