Work has begun in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the restoration and preservation of historical heritage following the imposition of Governor's Rule in the province.

The new provincial government has started planning to convert the British-era summer headquarters in Lakki Marwat into a tourist destination.

According to provincial government sources, work is underway to preserve and restore historical heritage at Sheikh Badin, located on the border of Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan.

Under the project, historical buildings dating back to the colonial era will be converted into restaurants and guest houses.
