Renowned novelist and writer Bushra Rehman passed away in Lahore today (Monday).
She was 78.
She wrote several famous novels including Allah Mian Ji, Bahisht, Barah e Raast, But Shikan, Chaand Say Na Khelo, Chara Gar, Chup, Ek Aawara Ki Khatir, Khubsurat, Kis Morr Par Milay Ho, Laazawal, Lala Sehrai, Lagan and Pyaasi.
She was honored with Sitara-i-Imtiaz for her literary achievements.
She served as MNA from 1988 to 2008.
Her funeral prayer will be offered at shortly today in Garden Town Lahore.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed grief over her demise.
He sympathized and expressed condolence to the bereaved family.
