Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain says sugar price will be maintained at reasonable rate with close coordination among Federal and provincial governments.

Chairing a meeting of the Sugar Advisory Board in Islamabad on Friday, he said all necessary administrative steps would be taken to further discourage hoarders.

The Minister said a crackdown would be launched against people involved in sale of commodities at inflated rates.

The meeting was informed that sugar is available at a reasonable price in the market.

It was decided to convene a meeting on Monday to finalize sugar prices for Ramadan.
