Afghanistan received a fresh batch of 32 million US dollars humanitarian cash aid today (Thursday).

In a statement, Afghanistan's central bank has confirmed that the cash received today has been transferred to Afghanistan International Bank and vowed to spend it transparently.

The United Nations has already warned that more than 22 million out of Afghanistan's 35 million population are facing acute food shortages, and would face humanitarian catastrophe if not assisted.
