Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is working at fast pace to break the slowness of the blue economy.

Presiding over a meeting to review process of reforms in Maritime Sector in Islamabad today, he said the incumbent government introduced number of reforms for uplift of Maritime Sector.

He lauded the Maritime Task Force for its hard work in preparing the recommendations for uplift of Maritime Sector. He said the global development is linked with the access to maritime resources.

Turning to economic situation of the country, the Prime Minister said the government is working with sincerity to pass on the positive impacts of recent drastic decline of oil prices at the international market to the common man in Pakistan.

He said the recent reduction in the electricity prices will provide a substantial relief to the people and stimulate economic activities.

The Prime Minister said we have achieved macroeconomic stability and the decline in the power tariffs will lead the economy towards growth and competitiveness.
