Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan exercised maximum restraint in response to the Indian attack last night, during which five Indian fighter jets were shot down.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he emphasized that clear instructions were given to target only those fighter jets that dropped payloads inside Pakistan. Otherwise, there could have been more casualties among Indian aircraft.

PPP Chairman strongly condemned the cowardly Indian attack carried out under the cover of darkness. He said India targeted innocent civilians, including women and children, which is highly reprehensible.

He asserted that the entire nation stands firmly behind the government and the armed forces in defending the motherland. He further said Pakistan has the right to respond and it will certainly do so at an appropriate time.

Taking the floor, PTI Chief Barrister Gohar Ali Khan emphasized that the entire nation is united in defense of the country, setting aside political differences. He affirmed that Pakistan will deliver a strong response to Indian aggression, as demonstrated by the downing of five Indian fighter jets.

Additionally, he welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer for dialogue.

JUI-F leader Moulana Ghafoor Haideri commended the armed forces for their swift response to Indian aggression. He remarked that since India has taken its turn, Pakistan will now respond. He assured that his party and its workers are ready to support the armed forces in the border areas.

MQM-Pakistan leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country but will fight with full force if war is imposed upon it.
