The Economic Coordination Committee has approved technical supplementary grants of around 28 billion for various development schemes, higher education and other expenditure of different ministries during the outgoing fiscal year.
The ECC, which met in Islamabad on Wednesday with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair, approved one billion rupees for development schemes in Punjab, over 18 billion rupees to undertake development schemes, five billion rupees for Sustainable Development Goals Achievement Programme , and 3.96 billion rupees for higher education.
The forum also approved 138 million rupees in favor of Ministry of Narcotics Control and six million rupees for Revenue Division to meet the shortfall of budget grant.
