Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to review the existing anti-narcotics laws and ensure their effective implementation to tackle the menace of drugs.

Presiding over the meeting of National Anti-Narcotic Council in Islamabad, he expressed deep concern over the trends of using drugs in society particularly by youth and termed it severe danger to the future of young generation.

The Prime Minister directed to formulate a comprehensive and coordinated strategy to effectively check the production, sale and purchase as well as the use of narcotics.

The meeting decided to utilize modern technology to take measures at schools and colleges level to check and discourage this menace and establish model treatment centers for the rehabilitation of people affected by narcotics.
