Mullah Hasan Ahmed Akhund has been nominated as head of the new interim government in Afghanistan.
This was announced by Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid at a news conference in Kabul tonight.
He said Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will be the deputy head of the government.
The other cabinet members include, Mullah Ameer Khan Muttaqi as Foreign Minister, Mullah Muhammad Yaqub as Defence Minister, Siraj Haqqani as Interior Minister, Mullah Hidyatullah Badri as Finance Minister, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa as Minster for Information, Mullah Abdul Lateef Mansoor as Minister for Water and Power, Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani as Minister for Refugees, Haji Idrees as head of Afghanistan Bank, Deen Muhammad Haneef as Minister for Economy, Maulvi Abdul Hakeem Sharai as Minister for Justice, Noorullah Noor as Minister for Frontiers and Tribes, and Younas Akhunzada as Minister for Rural Development.
