China has called on the international community to help African governments strengthen their capacity to manage natural resources effectively.

Speaking at the U.N. Security Council, China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dai Bing, said enhanced governance capacity of the African nations can effectively squeeze the space of illegal trafficking of resources for illicit gains.
