Dr Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst):
The present Indian government is not paying attention to the genuine demands of the Indian farmers. Basically, Narendra Modi is trying to isolate the people of Punjab and Haryana as the farmers of these regions are dominating the wheat cultivation in the country. It is the second major March of the Indian farmers to New Delhi and their only demand is to review the crops prices but unfortunately there is continuous violence against the protestors. There is a blockage of internet services in India to hide it from the international community.
Maqbool Elahi Malik (Senior Journalist):
It was a historic visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as the geographical importance of Gilgit-Baltistan cannot be ignored. It is the era of geo-economics so the incumbent government is making all out efforts to facilitate the people of these areas. The prime focus of the government is to uplift the under developed areas in the country. It is unfortunate that in the past none of the governments paid attention on the development of the far flung areas of the province but the Prime Minister is focusing to make Gilgit-Baltistan as the tourist hub. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over construction of houses for flood victims. In my opinion, if the government continues its policies towards the province, it will support the government in uplifting the economy as well.
