Pakistan and Azerbaijan have reaffirmed commitment to address challenges posed by climate change.
The consensus to this effect was reached during a meeting between Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam and Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov who called on her in Islamabad.
The Coordinator to the Prime Minister highlighted the critical role of developed countries in fulfilling their financial commitments to assist developing nations in their climate mitigation and adaptation efforts.
On his part, the Azerbaijan's ambassador emphasized the importance of closer bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the areas of sustainable development, climate change and regional cooperation.
