In Bangladesh, Awami League and its allied parties have won 223 of 300 parliamentary seats in the general elections.

This victory has paved the way for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to serve for another five years in office.

The main opposition party, Bangladesh Nationalist Party, had boycotted the elections, alleging that the polls were fake.
