Earth Rotation Day was observed globally on Wednesday.

The day celebrates the rotation of planet earth on its axis which is crucial for defining time and shape of life.  

Earth rotates on its axis, an imaginary line passing through the North and South Poles, at a speed of approximately 1,670 km per hour at the equator.

It takes roughly 24 hours for Earth to complete one full rotation, defining the length of a day.
