Saleem calls for increasing trade, cultural exchanges b/w Punjab & Razavi Khorasan

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan met with Governor General of Razavi Khorasan Province of Iran Ghulam Hussain Zafari in Mash’had today to discuss religious tourism, education, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, who is visiting Iran, expressed his gratitude for the facilities built for Pakistani pilgrims at Mirjaveh and emphasized the deep bond of brotherly relations between the two countries.

The Punjab Governor suggested for exchange of business delegations and organization of trade exhibitions in Lahore and Mashhad to further boost bilateral trade.

He highlighted the increasing cooperation between universities in Pakistan and Mashhad, especially the establishment of the Iqbal Chair and Urdu Department at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, which will strengthen educational ties.

Both sides also deliberated on organizing cultural weeks under the Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation between Punjab and Razavi Khorasan provinces.
