In the United States, more than a hundred Democratic members of the House of Representatives have rejected President Donald Trump’s proposed Middle East peace plan.      

An open letter initiated by Democratic Congressmen Alan Lowenthal and Andy Levin has warned that Trump’s plan, would pave the way for a permanent occupation of the West Bank.                                    

They wrote that the Israeli government must not take the Plan as a license to violate International law by annexing all or portions of the West Bank.   

Blaming President Trump of an inappropriate intervention in next month’s general elections in Israel, the Democrats said the timing of Middle East plan's release suggests motives unrelated to helping solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
