Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Inter Governmental Commercial Transactions Act in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the cabinet committee was briefed on the upcoming transactions to be undertaken under the Inter Governmental Commercial Transactions Act, 2022 with foreign governments.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister directed the concerned ministries to complete all pre-requisites before entering into formal negotiations as per provisions of the Act.
He also emphasized upon complete disclosure and transparency in carrying out transactions with entities nominated by the foreign governments.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also presided over a meeting on reforming the power sector in Islamabad.
The meeting reviewed the proposals presented by Ministries of Power and Finance.
