The Chairman of Pakistan Ulama Council Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that a free and sovereign Palestine is the solution to all problems related to peace in the Middle East.

He was addressing a news conference in Lahore.

Alluding to recent statements from the US and Israel for depriving Palestinians from their land in Gaza, Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said Muslim Ummah will oppose any attempt in this regard.

He urged the international community to play its role in the rebuilding process in Gaza, for which the Ummah should also play its part.
