The majority members of GB Assembly through a resolution changed Jaglot to Skardu road as Shahrah-e-Baltistan.

The 17th session of GB Assembly began in Gilgit, with Speaker Syed Amjad Ali Zaidi in the chair.

The House unanimously passed a resolution approved regarding the creation of a service structure for Gilgit Baltistan Rural Support Program employees .

The resolution was jointly presented by members Ghulam Shahzad Agha and Deputy Speaker Nazir Advocate.

The Assembly in another unanimously approved resolution, demanded to vacate VIP Rest  House in Gilgit and hand our it  to Gilgit Development Authority.

The House through a resolution welcomed re-opening of Pak- China trade from April  via Khunjerab pass and termed it a positive step to increase trade, people to people contact  between the friends and neighbor countries.
