Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Rubina Khalid has said disbursements under Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will be made through digital wallets from July this year.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, she said over eight million women have been provided with free mobile SIMs.

The Chairperson said transparency and accountability are the foremost priorities of Benazir Income Support Program. She said re-certification system has also been introduced so that only deserving people benefit from this program.

She said several countries in the world have appreciated Benazir Income Support Program which is Pakistan's largest social protection program. She mentioned that over ten million families are benefiting from Kafalat Program while twelve million children are receiving scholarship under Benazir Taleemi Wazaif.
