Pakistan National Council of the Arts and National Lok Virsa have started preparations to celebrate Independence Day in a befitting manner.

An official of PNCA told newmen that the Arts Council would organize various activities including tableau, skits, national songs and folk dances to mark the Independence Day.  He said the week-long programmes would focus on the freedom movement and rich culture of the country through performing art.

On the other hand, Lok Virsa will also organize an exhibition titled "artisans-at-work".

Folk artists and musicians will perform throughout the day and present popular national and folk songs at Lok Virsa.

An exhibition of children art would also be arranged and products prepared by children would be displayed for public on Independence Day.
