Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play its role to curb Islamophobia in the western world.

He was talking to Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri in Islamabad.

He said parliament will raise the issue of publication of blasphemous caricatures globally.

Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said publication of blasphemous caricatures in a French magazine has hurt the sentiments of Muslims around the world.

He said blasphemous material will only stoke hate among the followers of different religions.
